FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What are the requirements to join this MAP program?
You need: to hold an OSSD (Ontario Secondary School Diploma), have good communication skills,
a willingness to work hard, and pass pre-entry assessment tests in Reading Comprehension
and Problem Solving. If you have received 66% or better in advanced Math & English course,
you will be exempted from the pre-entry assessment test. If you have a transcript from a College
or University, your credentials can be evaluated by the Admissions staff. (Test Centre - 416-289-5305).
There is a $25.00 fee, payable prior to testing at the Admissions Office.
How do I know that this MAP program is right for me?
To be successful in this program you need to be self-motivated, a creative problem-solver,
able to work independently and in teams, AND have a high degree of interest in transportation technology.
These combined with hard work and dedication to this career are necessary traits for success in this program.
How long is the MAP program?
The entire program is 36 weeks in duration of which 32 weeks are in class at Centennial College and
4 weeks are in a work placement in Ontario. During the work placements you will be given
an opportunity at both a Mack or Volvo dealer and a fleet customer to provide you with different
perspectives of the service industry.
